600 Visa – Visitor Visa

The Visitor Visa (subclass 600)—Frequent Traveller stream is for citizens of the People’s Republic of China who travel often to Australia for business or personal matters. The visa stream allows you to visit your relatives, friends, or family and engage in business activities in Australia. The visa can be granted for up to 10 years, but you’re only allowed to stay for up to 3 months each time you visit.

Visa Requirements for Frequent Traveller Stream:

• You must be a citizen of the People’s Republic of China.
• You must have sufficient funds.
• You would need to meet the health and character requirements.
• You must be a genuine visitor.
• You must show evidence of business or personal activities that you would like to do in Australia.

The document checklist for this visa application would depend on your current circumstances. But generally, you must provide the following:

Evidence of your identity

• Biographical pages of current passport or other travel documents. It must include the holder’s photo and personal details, and issue/expiry dates.
• Passport-sized photograph (45 mm x 35 mm) of the head and shoulders against a plain background.
• Evidence of name change, if your name has changed.
• Birth certificates and other identity documents issued by your home country’s Government.

Evidence of your character

• National police certificate issued by your home country’s national Police Department.

Evidence that you’re a genuine visitor

• Evidence of sufficient funds (bank statements, pay slips, audited accounts, taxation records, etc.)
• Travel itinerary showing your activities while in Australia.
• Other information stating your incentives to return home (leave letter from your employer, enrolment statement from your school, property or significant assets ownership, etc.)
• Invitation letter from your relatives/friends/family members. Your relatives/friends must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

Evidence of your business activity in Australia

• Invitation letter from the event host in Australia.
• Conference registration details.
• Letter from your employer stating your business activities in Australia.
• Travel itinerary with information on your business activities and involved business parties.
• Your educational and professional qualifications.
• Evidence of your current employment and your role during your visit to Australia.
• Contact histories with Australian businesspeople or organisations.
• Evidence that your company is a legally and actively operating business.

Evidence for children younger than 18

• Evidence of consent to grant you a visa (statutory declaration or completed Form 1229).
• Declaration by the person responsible for you in Australia (Form 1257).
• Evidence of your enrolment at school, college or university.
