Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) visa subclass 601 is one of the Visitor visa streams to stay temporary in Australia.
This visa stream only can be applied by passport holders from certain countries. ETA allows you to visit Australia for holiday, cruise, visit family or friends and undertake some business visitor activities.
With this visa, you can visit Australia as often as you want in a 12-month period and stay up to 3 months each time you enter Australia.
You must be outside Australia when applying for this visa and the application must be made online through the ETA, alternatively, for some countries, you may apply at your travel agent or airline service provider.
