Who is eligible for the ANMAC Full Skills Assessment program?
As of 1 July 2025, ANMAC has expanded the eligibility criteria for the Full Skills Assessment program. You can apply if:
- You hold a nursing qualification from Canada, Hong Kong, Ireland, the UK, the US, Singapore, or Spain, and
- You are currently or previously registered as a nurse in one of these countries
If your qualification is not a Bachelor of Nursing from one of those countries, you must have:
- Completed a general nursing degree after 1 January 2017,
- Passed a regulatory exam in one of those countries (where applicable), and
- Have at least 1,800 hours of paid work as a Registered Nurse since 1 January 2017
Similar eligibility applies to midwives, only that you must have a recognised midwifery degree and registration.

Processing time and fees
The current fee for the ANMAC Full Skills Assessment program is AUD 595.
The processing time is currently between 6 and 8 weeks.
