- 47,732 places for the Family stream.

Comparison between Number of Visa Granted and Earlier Australia Migration Plan
We can see from the table that the Department of Home Affairs has granted 160,052 visas for the 2020-21 Australia migration program year.
The 2020-21 Australia Migration Program provided 77,372 slots for the Family visa. Nearly 72,000 partner visa applications were granted, with most onshore applications, marking the most significant increase in the number of persons relocated under this category in 25 years. Under the Skilled visa stream, the Government provided 79,620 places or 50.7 percent of the overall outcome, with at least 71% of candidates present onshore.
Applicants who submitted under the Australia Employer-Sponsored skilled visa received the most visas in this stream, with over 23,000 visas awarded, followed by those who applied under the Australia State and Territory Nominated skilled visa, which received nearly 14,000 visas. Meanwhile, 9,584 visas were granted for the Global Talent (Independent) program.
