Update August 2023: Australian Visa Processing Time Got Shorten

The Australian Department of Home Affairs announced the Australian visa processing time is now shorter. The announcement was made on their official social media account in the early of August 2023.

It was shown that the Australian visa application is being processed within days now, but as for now, it is only applicable for certain visa subclasses, including Student Visa (subclass 500), Temporary Skills Shortage Visa (subclass 482), and Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417).

Updated Processing Time Australian Visa

The current processing time for Australian visas are as follows:

Australian Student Visa processing time: within 16 days

482 Visa processing time: within 21 days
186 Visa processing time*: within 1 day
417 Visa processing time**: within 1 day

*the processing time for 186 visa applicable for applicants with occupation under healthcare and education sector.
** the processing time for 417 visa applicable for applicants outside Australia.

Why and How the Visa Processing Time Got Shorter?

The Government is able to get the processing time shortened as 600 officers were recruited between 1 July 2022 and 30 June 2023. With the new recruiters, the Government is able to process all temporary and migration visa applications quickly and efficiently.

There is no specific reason other than that the Government is showing their commitment to their work program. Also, the Government acknowledged the critical role that skilled migrants played in nation building, cultural variety, social cohesion, and economic prosperity.

My journey with Onederland started in March of 2003 with a request as to how we secured residency for my Chinese wife of 15 years who was residing in China. Jamie and Yenni have provided detailed guidance for my Partner and I for his Offshore Partner Visa! He finally got his visa within a year of applying which in this climate, is pretty good. It was during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 that I initially collaborated with Onederland, when the Australian border was closed, and everyone was unable to enter the country for any reasons.I needed to make a Visa for my boss for a very important business in Australia.When we first spoke with Ms. Indah and Ms. Desti, they did not guarantee that we would have the travel exemption, Ms. Indah even made the offer for us to cancel our plan to work with them due to the fact that she was unable to ensure receiving the needed VISA.However, following our pilot conversation, our company is even more convinced to work with Ms. Indah and team in order to obtain Australia's permission for the Travel Exemption. PROFESSIONAL & COMPETENCE!Those words are to describe ONE derland Consulting. Firstly, I know ONE derland from my brother who lives in Perth. He also knew it from google. I actually have another option of Migration Agent in Melbourne whom I knew them before. Getting a visitor visa shouldn't be so difficult, or take so long, but unfortunately my partner and I found out the hard way. We applied ourselves in February 2022 and received a refusal four months later.We used ONEderland to reapply and nine weeks later we have had the visa granted. After two years of covid travel restrictions we could have saved six months and a lot of stress by going to ONEderland in the first instance. ONEderland consulting are extremely helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Even with the burden of the pandemic they achieved 100% success rate when it came to visas and exemptions for my wife, son and step son.
