Greek and Australian Working and Holiday Visa Agreement
On May 14th, 2014 a bilateral agreement was signed by Greek Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni and Australian Minister for Immigration and Border Protection Scott Morrison which should come into effect in the next few months following its approval in Parliament.
Thus allows Working Holiday Visa for Greek Citizen.
500 young adults from Greece and 500 young adults from Australia are going to be the first to enjoy a holiday in each other’s Country, during which they may engage in short term work and study.
What does this mean!!!!!
It means under the agreement young adults (aged 18-30 years old) can obtain a Tourist visa for travel between both countries to live and work for 12 months.
The Australian Work and Holiday visa will be valid for 1 year from the date of first entry and holders are permitted to leave and re-enter Australia any number of times during this period.
This visa will be different to the Working Holiday visa as applicants are required to have the support of their Government, hold or be studying for a Tertiary qualification and speak functional English.
This will be an exciting opportunity for young people in both countries to experience life abroad, whilst experiencing the cultural and economic links between the two countries.
