On 15 April 2024, the Government of South Australia announced to extend both DAMA Programs until 30 June 2024 and expanded the SA DAMA Occupation List with 128 new occupations.

Currently, there are two DAMA programs available in South Australia, namely the Adelaide City Technology and Innovation Advancement DAMA and the South Australian Regional Workforce DAMA.

The Government added 128 new occupations to the SA DAMA Occupation List. These occupations are in construction and trades, agribusiness, ICT, health, education and renewable energy sectors.

And at the same time, the Government removed the following occupations from the SA DAMA Occupation List as of 15 April 2024:

  • Grape Grower (ANZSCO Code 121215),
  • Actors, Dancers and other Entertainers (ANZSCO Code 211999), and
  • Dancer or Choreographer (ANZSCO Code 211112).

Updates on the Program and Nomination Places

The Government has extended both Adelaide City Technology and Innovation Advancement DAMA and the South Australian Regional Workforce DAMA until 30 June 2025. In addition, the  Government now increases the nomination ceiling for SA DAMA to 2000 nomination places annually (previously only 750 nomination places annually).

More great news, the Government also retained the age concession up to 55 years along with the English and work experience concessions. The Government also put a 10% reduction to the Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT).
