New postcodes for Working Holiday Visa Australia in 2016

NEWS: There have been postcodes added to the regional list for the Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417). These codes are part of the Migration Regulations 1994, regarding the Working Holiday Visa. This also includes the definition of Specified Work and Regional Australia. So what is the significances of this new postcodes for Working Holiday Visa Australia?

This new Instrument, IMMI 16/087, has commenced on 16 September 2016 and will cancel the previous Instrument IMMI 16/041, this will contain new specific locations for work activities that will fully meet the eligibility requirements for the approval of your second Working Holiday (subclass 417) visa.

There have been two postcodes added to the locations: 6076 and 6111 in Perth Hills, Western Australia. Please be aware that on 5 May 2016, Norfolk Island was also been included as a regional location for this specific purpose, as well.

This list of activities has remained unchanged:

animal and plant cultivation
pearling and fishing
felling and tree farming
any mining
any construction

This information may be foreign to some readers, but it is regarding the postal codes for the working holiday visa, which will need to be known to meet the requirements for the visa.

The Working Holiday (subclass 417) varies from the Work and Holiday (subclass 462). I would like this opportunity to go over some of the differences between the two.

Please note, that the above addition to post codes added are only intended for the Working Holiday (subclass 417), not to be confused with the Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa.

My journey with Onederland started in March of 2003 with a request as to how we secured residency for my Chinese wife of 15 years who was residing in China. We had been separated in 2019 due to the Covid restrictions.I am an Australian citizen but despite this we were unable to be reunited once the restrictions were lifted without a visa. On contacting Onederland they proposed a visa application to have us reunited and provided support for a permanent residency visa. Long story short the visa was granted in late July 2024 making us extremely happy. Jamie and Yenni have provided detailed guidance for my Partner and I for his Offshore Partner Visa! He finally got his visa within a year of applying which in this climate, is pretty good. I am based in Adelaide and worked with Jamie and Yenni for my partner's Offshore Partner Visa. It was during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 that I initially collaborated with Onederland, when the Australian border was closed, and everyone was unable to enter the country for any reasons.I needed to make a Visa for my boss for a very important business in Australia.When we first spoke with Ms. Indah and Ms. Desti, they did not guarantee that we would have the travel exemption, Ms. Indah even made the offer for us to cancel our plan to work with them due to the fact that she was unable to ensure receiving the needed VISA.However, following our pilot conversation, our company is even more convinced to work with Ms. Indah and team in order to obtain Australia's permission for the Travel Exemption. And our company is willing to bear the possibility of failure.And finally with very good cooperation, we managed to get an exemption within 7 days and then my boss's AU VISA was approved on the same day.Recently, after obtaining natural justice, I once more began working with Onederland at the rush moment when my boss's father AU VISA was on the verge of being denied. Getting a visitor visa shouldn't be so difficult, or take so long, but unfortunately my partner and I found out the hard way. We applied ourselves in February 2022 and received a refusal four months later.We used ONEderland to reapply and nine weeks later we have had the visa granted. After two years of covid travel restrictions we could have saved six months and a lot of stress by going to ONEderland in the first instance. Even with the burden of the pandemic they achieved 100% success rate when it came to visas and exemptions for my wife, son and step son.
