Changes on NSW State Nomination for FY 2023-24
As part of the NSW State Nomination Updates, let’s see the changes apply program for financial year 2023-24. Among the changes is a new method to address skill shortages across the state. New South Wales will now prioritise targeted sectors above skilled occupation listings. High-ranking EOIs submitted in non-priority industries will still be examined, but priority is given to those specialised candidates working under the prioritised sectors.
To be eligible for the NSW state nomination, you must:
- Meet all of the Department of Home Affairs’ visa criteria;
- Hold a valid Skills Assessment for an occupation in a NSW priority sector;
- Must be a resident of NSW and have lived there continuously for at least six months, or currently residing overseas and have lived there continuously for at least six months.
