Western Australia WA is now seeking for workers to fill several job vacancies for occupations that have recently been added to the state’s skilled occupation list, known as WASMOL.
Engineers, Nurses and Chefs are just a few to be included this year and this is ‘music to the ears’ of Qualified Skilled Migrants looking to make the move to the ‘Golden State’ and to secure sponsorship.

For those of you who are lucky enough to have your occupation listed on the WASMOL you may be eligible for Western Australia state nomination.
After being nominated you may then apply for the SKILLED NOMINATED (Subclass 190) Visa.
This is a point based Visa which will allow you to live and work in Western Australia permanently.
The Skilled Nominated (Subclass 190) Visa will also allow you to enroll in Medicare, travel to and from Australia freely for five years from the date the visas is granted and if eligible, apply for Australian citizenship.
However there are various requirements you would first need to meet in order to be eligible for this visa

Your occupation will need to be listed on both the Consolidated Sponsored Occupations List (CSOL) and the Western Australia Skilled Migration Occupations List (WASMOL)

You will also need to meet the 60 points required on General Skilled Migration points test.
There are many things that can contribute to this points test.

You will also need to complete an IELTS English language test and score at least 7 in each component

You will be required to complete a Skills assessment with the relevant Australian assessing authority

You must have post qualification working experience and references.

You will need to lodge a Expression of Interest (EOI)

After lodging your EOI, you will need to receive an ‘invitation’ for State Nomination. Upon its grant, State Nomination can also add an extra 5 points towards your 60 points tally.
If you’re nominated by the state you must stay and live in WA for at least 2 years.
To prove that you’re abiding by this there will be a survey every 6 months.
