UPDATE: Parent Visa Processing Time and Queue

The Australian Government has announced the updated Parent Visa processing time and queue release. As we’ve known, parent and family visas for migration to Australia take many years to be processed into final processing. The Government updates this news regularly to ensure the applicant is aware with their visa application process.

The Department of Home Affairs (DHA) released the latest queue release dates and processing time for parent visas in Australia. This news is directed to the applicants who want information about their parent visa queue.

To know more about the details of dates updates for each kind of visa, ONE derland Consulting will review the processing times priorities for parent visas in Australia according to the latest update. Read more about the below news here.

Based on the data above, the Government in outline informs regarding:

  • Contributory Parent visa applications with a queue date up to March 2017
  • Parent visa applications with a queue date up to August 2011
  • Aged Parent visa applications with a queue date up to December 2012.

On February 2, 2023, it can be seen that Onshore Aged Parent (BP804) visas have been assessed up to the Queued Date of December 2012. Those date changes caused by onshore Aged Parent applications with the same date onwards will likely take longer to process and bring the dates back on track for offshore Parents (AX103).

The warning also influences that the Department must process every Parent and Contributory Parent application within annual limits and in a date order to avoid repeating discrepancies between offshore and onshore visas in the Parent visa category.
