Regional Occupation List For Temporary Skill Shortage Visa
The Regional Occupation List (ROL) is part of the SKilled Occupation List Australia. It lists skilled occupations eligible for sponsorship under the Medium-Term stream of TSS 482 Visa. However, one crucial criteria for any ROL occupation is that the position should be located in Australia’s Designated Regional Area. So, if you’re nominated for a ROL occupation, you cannot work in any of Australia’s metropolitan districts, including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.

If your occupation is listed on the Regional Occupation List (ROL), you can apply for one of the following visa subclasses:
- Temporary Skills Shortage Visa (subclass 482) – Medium Term stream
- Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) (subclass 494) Visa
- Regional Sponsor Migration Scheme (subclass 187)
