Important Notes for Skilled Migration Program Applicants
Skilled Migration program is one of Australia’s migration programs that attract skilled workers around the world. As we know, the Skilled Migration program has three visa subclasses, namely 189 visa, 190 visa and 491 visa.
Two of these visa subclasses, 190 visa and 491 visa; are state-nominated visa subclasses. It means if you wish to migrate to Australia on 190 visa or 491 visa, you must receive an invitation from the Australian State or Territory Government.
It is a very competitive process to get an invitation or being nominated by the Australian State and Territory Government. There is no guarantee that you will directly be nominated after lodging an Expression of Interest (EOI) or Registration of Interest (ROI), even though you have met the minimum requirements.
However, it does not mean you have no chance to work in Australia as part of the Skilled Migration program. All you need to do is be patient and do everything to maximise your point.
