Invitation Round for South Australia State Nomination Program – 190 Visa and 491 Visa
On 4 December 2025, the South Australian Government announced the latest invitation round for its state nomination program. It shows that a total of 402 invitations were issued for candidates to submit a state nomination application. Will there be another invitation round?
Yes, the South Australian Government confirmed that the next invitation round will occur in early January 2026 (South Australia – Invitations issued – Dec 2025).
What is the next step after receiving the invitation?
After receiving the invitation, you must lodge a state nomination application for South Australia. The application must be lodged through Skilled & Business Migration portal provided by the South Australian Government.
What happens if your state nomination is approved?
If the South Australian Government approves your state nomination application, you can apply for a 190 Visa or a 491 Visa (depending on your state nomination application).

How many streams available under the South Australia State Nomination program?
There are 4 nomination streams available under the South Australia state nomination program:
1. South Australian Graduates stream
You may be eligible for state nomination as a skilled migrant more quickly than other applicants if you are an international graduate who studied in South Australia.
2. Skilled Employment in South Australia stream
